Thomas "Tommy" Phillips

June 4, 1946 — January 15, 2025

With a joyful heart and a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived, we celebrate the remarkable journey of Tommy G. Phillips, born on June 4, 1946, in Moline, Illinois. Tommy's spirit left this world on January 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and passion. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, G.W. and Lucille Phillips and his son, John Carter Phillips.

Tommy was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Patricia Phillips, and a proud father to his son, Jesse (Denise) Judge, daughter, Melissa Briggs, step-son, Corey Kidd, granddaughter, Nicole Fore, great granddaughter, Brinley Rose Fore, special niece and nephew, Shane and Tori Clow and their children, Noah, Jolene, Finn and Teddy, great niece, Connor Jo Yates and special friend, Michelle Brill. He cherished his family and cultivated lasting memories filled with laughter and joy. As a respected member of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), Tommy's love for horses was evident in his passion for trail riding, camping, and showing quarter horses. He thrived in the embrace of the great outdoors, especially at his beloved Mockingbird Hill Ranch, nestled in the heart of Shawnee National Forest.

A true animal lover, Tommy raised both miniature and standard schnauzers, filling his home with their loyal companionship and spirited antics. His heart was as vast as the landscapes he explored, and he touched the lives of many with his kindness and zest for life.

Tommy will be having a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday January 22, 2025 at the Thompson Funeral Home, where we will come together to share stories, celebrate, and remember the love and laughter that Tommy brought into our lives.

As we bid farewell to our dear Tommy, we carry forward his legacy of adventure and love, reminding ourselves to embrace life with the same fervor he exemplified. He will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
