Tom Austin, 100 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at the Austin Manor in Peebles.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on June 7, 1902 the son of the late Holland Ross and Addie Riley Austin.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and a cook with the N & W Railroad. He was a member of the Peach Mountain Community Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Dewey Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
