Tom Gilpin, 80 years of Peebles, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Otway, Ohio on December 11, 1929 the son of the late John and Birdie Spires Gilpin.
He is survived by four sons and daughter-in-law; Donnie and Cindy Gilpin of Peebles, Larry Gilpin of Portsmouth, Roger Gilpin of Cherry Fork, and Leslie Gilpin of Seaman, two daughters and son-in-law; Rita and Harold Thacker of Seaman and Kathy Pollard of Manchester, three brothers; Jesse of May Hill, Hubert of May Hill, and Junior Gilpin of Bentonville, two sisters; Mary Catherine Keets of Hillsboro and Doris Shaw of Hillsboro, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Tim Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
