Travis William Gard, 38 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Wednesday January 21, 2015.
He was born in Hillsboro, on June 15, 1976, the son of Dale William and Peggy Jean (Juillerat) Gard of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herschel and Norma Juillerat and Blair and Christine Gard.
Travis was a 1994 graduate from Hillsboro High School, got his Associate Degree from Southern State Community College, a member of the Union Church of Christ, Deacon of the church, an avid leather craftsman, a huge Michigan Fan, member of NRA, loved horses and roping and was a great dad.
Besides his parents, Travis is survived by his wife Krista (Foster) Gard of Hillsboro, whom were married on May 19, 2007, son Blaine Gard, daughter Blair Gard, sister and brother-in-law, Megan and Greg Abbott of Hillsboro, two nephews; Greyson and Pierce Abbott, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold Marion and Wanda West Foster of Hillsboro, Best Buddy Timex and several aunts, uncles, cousins and host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Monday January 26, 2015 at the Union Church of Christ. Burial will follow at New Market Baptist Cemetery.
Friends may call at 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday January 25, 2015 at the church.
Donations can be made to the American Heart Association or to the Union Church of Christ.
