Troy E. Stamper Jr., 56 years of Winchester, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on September 22, 1951 the son of the late Troy Stamper Sr.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Winchester American Legion, a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge, and a heating and cooling contractor for H.V.A.C.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by his brother Brad Stamper.

He is survived by his mother Anna Ruth Whaley Breeze of Winchester, wife Kathy Cantrell Stamper of Winchester, son and daughter-in-law Troy and Laura Stamper III of Russellville, son Shannon C. Stamper of West Union, daughter Stephanie Caitlyn Stamper of Winchester, brother and sister-in-law Chip and Lori Stamper of Winchester, brother Michael Stamper of Phoenix, Arizona, sisters and brothers-in-law Treasa and Steve Green of Seaman, Jamie and Chad Dryden of Manchester, and Amy and Bobby Utterback of Winchester, sister Keri Theaderman of Winchester, step-father Jim Breeze of Winchester, step-mother Patty Stamper of Phoenix, Arizona, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jack Aerosmith officiating. There will be a military service by the Adams County Honor Guard, with cremation to follow.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.
