Truman W. Frost, 98 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, May 24, 2004 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
He was born in Los Angeles, California on April 28, 1906 the son of the late George and Sylvia Hammond Frost.
He graduated in 1924 from Sinking Spring High School, and attended Wilmington College. He retired in 1968 after thirty-five years of teaching, having taught all twelve grades. In Highland County, he taught at Elmville from 1927 until 1931, Fort Hill from 1932 until 1935, New Market from 1936 until 1945. He taught at Scioto from 1946 until 1949. He taught in Pike County at Latham from 1950 until 1961, Parker Elementary from 1962 until retirement in 1968.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Grace Lynch.
He was united in marriage on October 12, 1940 to Mary Turley Frost, who survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Bob and Kay Frost of Washington Court House, daughter and son-in-law, Ann and David Rice of Hillsboro, three grandchildren, Jason Emily Rice, Kelsey and Devin Frost, and one great grandson, Jason Robert Rice.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
