Velma A. Austin, 75 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on November 11, 1925 the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Marcum Smalley.
She is survived by her husband who she married on June 22, 1942, Don Austin of Peebles, sons and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Sharon Austin of Peebles, Steve Austin of Peebles, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brothers, Darrell Smalley of Louisiana, Ernest Smalley of West Union, and sisters, Helen Damrow of Wilmington, Laura Mae Lacey of Colorado, and Yvonne Tolle of Peebles.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Bill Ryan and Clarence Johnson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
