Velma Tuck, 88 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
She was born in Eldorado, Ohio on July 6, 1919 the daughter of the late Preston Burrom and Kate Newman Abshear.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herschel Henry Victor, second husband, James A. Tuck, who passed away on July 10, 1997, two sons, James L. Victor, Keith Randall Tuck, and two brothers, Knott and Moss Abshear.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, James Philip Tuck of Hillsboro, Jack R. and Katherine Victor of Hillsboro, one daughter and son-in-law, Velma Jean and A. John Gross of Hillsboro, eight grandchildren, Ron Angie Victor of Hillsboro, Chris Melissa Victor of Hillsboro, Lisa Burggeman of Lynchburg, Jay Tonya Gross of Hillsboro, Cindy Gross of Hillsboro, Jeff Victor of Texas, Lois Emmanuel Rosales of Texas, Paul Richards of Texas, and a host of great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the New Market Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206 or charity of choice.
