Verda E. Bosier, 77 years of Sinking Spring, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
Verda was born November 11, 1945 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Gustin) Hopkins, Sr.. Beside her parents, Verda was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Hopkins; brother, Cecil Hopkins, Jr.; two sisters, Esther Hopkins and Susan Ison.
Verda was a 1963 graduate of Sinking Spring. Verda owned and operated H. & B. Drilling.
Verda is survived by her daughter, Tonya Penland of Sinking Spring; son, Tim Bosier of Sinking Spring; nine grandchildren, Brandon (Aubrey) Bosier, Marcus Penland, Ty (Kylee) Penland, Austin (Alyssa) Bosier, Dakota Bosier, Braydon Bosier, Olivia Bosier, Logan Bosier, Nikki Johnson; six great grandchildren, Parker Bosier, Leo Bosier, Lanie Bosier, Mila Penland, Cason Johnson, Teagan Johnson; four sisters, Helen Williamson of Sinking Spring, Betty (David) Wise of Hillsboro, Mary Mahaffey of Hillsboro, Trudy (Jim) Hodge of Rainsboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
Rev. Casey McDaniel will officiate with burial to follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
