Vern M. "Buster" Damron, 81 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday April 16, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in New Market on April 10, 1935, the son of the late Othel and Goldie (Frost) Damron. Besides his parents he was also preceded by three sisters, Ethel Young, Dorothy Hatfield and Fern Scholler and one brother, Pete Shattuck.
Vern served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired from Ferno-Washington in Wilmington.
Vern is survived by his wife, Wilma (Pence) Damron, whom were married on November 5, 1960, son, Vern "Bud" (Candy) Damron of Columbus, three daughters, Maggie (Rudy Loftis) Whitely of Chillicothe, Debbie (George Tipton) Damron of Hillsboro and Bonnie (Mark Johnson) Damron of Greenfield, four grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Saturday April 23, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Gilboa Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
