Verna Louise Fairley, 69 years of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Highland District Hospital.
She was born in Pike County, Oh on December 16, 1939 the daughter of Clyde and Louree Penn May.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Raymond Mitchel Fairley and one grandson, Mike Fairley.
She is survived by her mother, two sons, David Fairley of Hillsboro and Monty Diane Fairley of Sardinia, two daughters, June Fairley of Greenfield and Merry Odel of Greenfield, two brothers Curtis Geneva May of Waverly and Wayne Irene May of Bainbridge, one sister Catherine Paul Gibson of Waverly, eleven grandchildren, Chad Fairley, Anneka Josh Collins, Wendy Fairley, Ronald Hall, William Erin Hall, Robert Hall, John Julie Jacobs, Jessica Andrew Perkins, Jeremy Amy Jacobs, Brittany Fairley, Amanda Newman, and twelve great grandchildren.
Gravside service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Gilboa Cemetery in Greenfield.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
