Victor Lee Warfe, Sr., 81 years of Peebles, died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at his residence.
He was born at Gary, West Virginia on March 24, 1922 the son of Grat C. and Destey Blevins Warfe.
He was a member of the Peebles United Methodist Church, Peebles Masonic Lodge #581, Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati, Peebles American Legion Post and Past Commander and a WWII Veteran of the Army Air Corp.
Beside his parents he preceded in death by four sisters, Claudine Warfe, Edith Milam, Billy Swecker, and Blanche Murphy.
He is survived by his wife Gladys Noe Warfe of Peebles, three sons and daughaters-in-law, Victor L. and Patricia Warfe Jr., Barry D. and Nola Warfe, Jeffrey G. and Sharon Warfe all of Peebles, one daughter and son-in-law, Susan F. and Dan Stiles of Peebles, one brother Ralph Warfe of California, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Zinser and Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with Military Graveside services by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
