Virgil Davis, age 91 of Seaman, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
He was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on February 17, 1923 the son of the late William and Rhoda Petrey Davis.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his step son, James Milligan and 9 brothers and sisters.
Virgil was a US Army Veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater for three years.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mabel Rains Davis of Seaman; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sharon Davis of Sardinia; step daughter, Bonnie Lee and Carl Gibbs of Cincinnati; one granddaughter, Michelle Caldwell, 2 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman is in charge of the arrangements.
