Virginia Joan Breakfield

March 28, 1931 — January 2, 2006

Virginia Joan Breakfield, 74 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, January 2, 2006 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.

She was born in Washington County, Ohio on March 28, 1931 the daughter of the late Myrle and Anna Burd Griffin.

She enjoyed spending time with her many friends at the Rainsboro United Methodist Church, Highland County Senior Citizens, where she was a ?Tea Time Tootsie?, and the Save the Lake Association.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Breakfield, two brothers, Sonny and Gary, one sister, Beulah Martin, five brothers-in-law, William Breakfield, John Breakfield, John Kelley, Eddie Shartle and Gary Lauderman, and two sisters-in-law, Ann Griffin and Genny Breakfield.

She was united in marriage on October 7, 1950 to Charles W. Breakfield, who survives. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Jeanette Breakfield of Hillsboro, daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Dave Shively of Kettering, Ohio, Kay and John Magee of Carlisle, Ohio, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Shirley Griffin of Las Vegas, sisters and brother-in-law, Evelyn Shartle of Medway, Ohio, Lee Lauderman of Belpre, Ohio, Pam and Marty Spence of Parkersburg, West Virginia, sisters-in-law, Virginia Breakfield of Hillsboro, Jean Kelley of Dayton, Mary Jo Griffin of Coolville, Ohio, nine grandchildren, Rachel Glenn Forbes, Beth Breakfield, Linnette Breakfield, Michelle Shively, Chris Shively, John Magee, Jessie Magee, Jacob Breakfield, and Jacey Magee, two great grandchildren, Mark Forbes, and Izabelle Breakfield, and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Hillsboro with Rev. Janie Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:30 till 8:30 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
