Virginia B. Mahanes, 84 years of Sardinia, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Ohio Valley Manor at Ripley, Ohio.
She was born May 15, 1922 in Highland County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dave and Edna Storer Truman.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dallas Mahanes, October, 1992, one son, Oren Dallas Mahanes, Jr. one daughter, Della Mae Mahanes, one granddaughter, Peggy Ann Jones, one brother, Alonzo Truman, and one sister, Patricia Gragg.
Virginia attended the Tranquility Community Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Donna Mahanes of Georgetown, OH, four daughters and sons-in-law, Eva and Bobby Jones of Winchester, OH, Bonnie and Charles Shield of Lexington, IN, Beverly and Bill Hawkins of Hillsboro, OH, Carla and Jim Fussnecker of Westerville, OH, one brother, Paul Truman of Hillsboro, OH, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman. Pastor Richey Pride will officiate with burial to follow in the Tranquility Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
