Virginia Satterfield, 87 years old of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born September 30, 1916 in Highland County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carey Q. and Elsie Neal Pownal Griffith.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Orland J. Doc Satterfield on May 3, 1985, one brother Stanley Griffith, and one sister Lois Bradshaw.
Virginia is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judith Ann and Roger Moore of Leesburg; three brothers, Vernon, Ervin and Joseph Griffith all of Hillsboro; three sisters, Elsie Purcell of Hillsboro, Elma Tucker of Columbus, Ohio and Edna Willett of Hillsboro; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. John Porter will officiate services with burial to follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
