Virginia Maggard Stambaugh, 88 years of Peebles, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Heartland of Portsmouth.
She was born in South Webster, Ohio on July 25, 1922 the daughter of the late Henry and Dollie Williams Maggard.
Virginia attended South Webster United Brethren Church and owned a beauty shop in South Webster.
She is survived by her husband Ford Stambaugh of Peebles, whom she married on June 6, 1957, four daughters; Arlene and Del Norman of Logan, Ohio, Teena Stambaugh of Coolville, Ohio, Jennifer Stambaugh of Benton, Kentucky, and Laura Stambaugh of Kingman, Arizona, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with James Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 4:00 till 6:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
