Virginia C. Strain, 70 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at her residence.
She was born September 13, 1932 at Winchester, Ohio, the daughter of the late Mason Raymond and Clara Eleanor Ward Edwards.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and had worked as a Veterinary Assistant for the Colonial Animal Clinic for several years.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, John William ?Bill? Edwards and Step Mother, Ruth Edwards.
She is survived by her husband Vincent L. Strain whom she married on July 18, 1952,
One son and daughter-in-law, Vincent L. and Joyce Strain Jr. of Centerville, one grandson, Joshua Isaac Strain, two step grandchildren, Andrew Melody Suittor and Michelle Suittor. one brother , Larry Dale Vicki Edwards of Washington, C.H., five sisters, Mary Lou Jim McCoppin of Bonita Springs, LA, Ruth Roger Shoemaker of Hillsboro, Martha Lee Daryl Whaley of Clyde, Nancy Sue McCreight of Urbana, Margaret E. Mike Burton of Lynchburg, one sister-in-law, Norma Jean Edwards, of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with David Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
