Virginia Williams, 83, of North Union , died Monday, August 20, 2007 after a long illness.
Virginia was born June 22, 1924 near Owingsvile, Kentucky, the daughter of Edward and Lottie Davis. After graduating from high school in 1944, she moved to Hillsboro, Ohio where she met and married Richard Henry Williams in 1947. Richard and Virginia worked side-by-side on their family farm raising six children by growing crops of corn, wheat, hay and tobacco and raising all types of farm animals.
Virginia loved her family and her life. ?She wanted nothing for herself except to be with her family, ?said her daughter Linda Bellamy. ?Sundays and holidays were times of great joy for Mom and Dad. Lots of good food, laughter and little kids made their lives full and their days good.?
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; four brothers, Leonard ?Bud?, Robert, Thomas and J.L. Davis; two sisters, Nellie Branom and Nora Crockett; and her son-in-law, Clayton Webb.
She is survived by her six children, Sharon Webb of Hillsboro, Jim Judy of Blue Ash, Bob Teresa of Waverly, Linda Roy Bellamy of Sugartree Ridge, Jerry Melinda of Mason and Terry as home; twelve grandchildren, April, Cheryl, Bob, Ruth, John, Rick, Cally, Duane, Tony, Rachel, Sam and Adam; eighteen great grandchildren; a sister, Lucy Jim Richmond of Hillsboro; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Swingley of Hillsboro and Ruth Williams of North Union, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
