Walter E. Adams, 81 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born in Paris, Illinois on January 6, 1925 the son of the late Mort and Emma Risner Adams.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Hillsboro AMVETS Post #61, a lifetime member of the Hillsboro VFW Post #9094, and a member of the Jamestown American Legion Post #155. He was a guard at LCI for seven years, worked at ARMCO Steel for several years, owned and operated the Hemlock Café in Jamestown for several years, and was a lifelong farmer.
He was united in marriage on May 31, 1946 to Juanita Mae Dennis Adams, who preceded him in death on May 21, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and five brothers.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Kim Adams of Ripley, Gregory and Bonnie Adams of Port William, Dennis and Rochelle Adams of Lynchburg, daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Jo Dennon of Franklin, Deborah and Michael Worthington of Hillsboro, Beth and Steve Brown of Hillsboro, brother, Edward Lee Adams of Lebanon, Ohio, sister, Emma Bradley of Lebanon, Ohio, seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with David Hodge officiating.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
