Wanda Maxine Boggess

Wanda Maxine Boggess, 92 years of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday July 30, 2015 at her residence.
She was born in Highland County on May 8, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Layman) Grove. Besides her parents she was also preceded by her husband, Paul Boggess on March 4, 2008, sister, Doris Jean Pierce, great nephew, Nathan Pierce and brother-in-law, Owen Pierce.
Wanda retired in 1972, after 30 years, working for Wright Patterson Air Base as a Disposal Specialist.
Wanda is survived by her step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Marc and Louise Boggess of Mooresville, N.C., step daughter and step-son-in-law, Claudia and Steve Smith of Roswell, G.A., seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, nephew, Tom (Bonita) Pierce, great nephew, Todd (Alisha) Pierce, great niece, Marci (Roger) Vogler and several great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday August 6, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery with John Porter officiating.
Friends may call at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 5, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
