Warren Shaffer

Warren Shaffer, 81 years of West Union, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Hillcrest Nursing Center in Peebles.
He was born in Lynchburg, Ohio on November 29, 1925 the son of the late Elmer and Nellie Shaffer Shaffer.
He was a member of the Wesley Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one step son, John Shaffer, two brothers, Albert and Pierce Shaffer, and one sister, Betty Sensibaugh.
He is survived by his wife, Berniece Crabtree Shaffer of West Union, son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Geneva Shaffer of Wilmington, two daughters and son-in-law, Beverly and Elmer Hurles of Washington Court House, Carol Wright of Norwood, Ohio, mother-in-law, Ruby Crabtree of Hillsboro, fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery with Pastor John Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery.
There will be no visitation observed.
Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
