Wava L. Zink, 86 years old of Hendersonville, N.C., formerly of Hillsboro, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville.
Wava was born July 2, 1918 in Highland County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence and Edith Roush Cochran.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herschel Zink, fours brothers, Harold, Dana, Virgil and Everett Cochran, one sister Betty.
Wava retired as a telephone operator from Ohio Bell. She was a member of the White Plains United Methodist Church, Hillsboro Chapter #441 O.E.S.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Kay and David Ludwick of Black Mountain, N.C., three granddaughters, Heather Mike Byers of Wilmington, N.C., Heidi Ludwick of Cary, N.C., Amy Ludwick of Raleigh, N.C., two great grandchildren, Taylor Sobha and Brooks Byers, one brother, Richard Cochran of Sidney, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ohio. John Porter will officiate services with burial to follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday with Eastern Star Services at 7:30 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
