Wilbur R. Helterbrand, 70 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Wednesday October 14, 2015 at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash.
He was born in Highland County on July 28, 1945, the son of the late James Russell and Dorothy (Miller) Helterbrand.
Wilbur is survived by his wife, Barbara (Wigginton) Helterbrand who were united in marriage on August 30, 1965; one daughter, Rita (Roger) Dailey of Piketon, OH; one son, Wayne (Shawna) Helterbrand of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Derek (Elena) Leeth, Brandon Dailey, Tristen Helterbrand, Emmarae Helterbrand; one brother, Glenn (May) Helterbrand of Hillsboro; one sister, Carolyn Garen of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Wilbur was a lifelong farmer, logger and an avid coon hunter. Wilbur and Barbara owned and operated the Carmel Market where he was best known as the "Pizza Man".
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
