Willa Hall Napier, age 95, formerly of Danville went home to be with her Lord on February 17, 2018.
A funeral service to honor her homegoing will be held at 12:00 P.M. (noon) on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
Pastor Wayne Flowers will officiate the service with internment to follow at Hamer Township Cemetery.
Willa was a devout follower of Christ and her truest joy was being able to serve and to worship at every opportunity. She held her faith close to her throughout her life, modeling an example to all who knew her of what a Christian woman should be. Mrs. Napier was a longtime member of Southside Pentecostal Church before her failing health prevented her from attending regularly. Those preceding her in passing include her daughter, Penelope "Penny" Moore and son, Clyde Napier II.
She leaves behind; son, Edward Myers (wife, Janice; daughter, Kathey Frost (husband, Wayne); special niece, Linda Grimes (husband, Buddy); Eleven Grandchildren and a host of Great-Grandchildren; along with several siblings and numerous extended family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone that offered their encouragement, assistance and prayers. Thanks especially to longtime friends Shirley, Sheila, Donnie (Sharron) and Joyce for their visits and friendship-your being a part of Willa's life brightened her spirits daily.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
