Willard J. Nichols, 93 years of Peebles, died Sunday, October 19, 2003 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born in Vinton County, Ohio on October 25, 1909 the son of the late Charles and Jennie Ramey Nichols.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Carl Nichols, step daughter, Winona Armstrong, and brother, Glendon Nichols.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Nichols, who he married on July 12, 1937, son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Sharon Nichols of Lancaster, daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda and Tom Long of Waverly, Rita Young of Dayton, sister, Beatrice Peveler of Milford, ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ.
