William Johnny Copas

William E. Johnny Copas, 77 years of Winchester, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on June 22, 1932 the son of the late Coleman and Ruth Taylor Copas.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Harold Copas.
Johnny was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union for many years.
He is survived by his wife Susie Harper Copas of Winchester, whom he married on December 28, 1954, son Jeff Copas of Winchester, son and daughter-in-law Tim and Joyce Copas of Winchester, two daughters and sons-in-law; Sherry and Randy Young of Winchester and Lisa and Brad McFarland of West Union, two sisters; Mary Copas of West Union and Geneva Brozee of West Union, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union with Reverend Dave Hopkins and Reverend Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union; The Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union.
