William John Davis, 90 years of Hillsboro, died on Friday February 1, 2013 at Georgetown Ohio Veterans Home.
He was born in Anaheim, California on August 17, 1922, the son of the late William G. Davis and Mary J. McNiece Davis. Besides his parents he is preceded by his first wife Mary Hancock Davis and his second wife Arline Schiller Davis and one sister, Lorene Davis Symkowick.
He was a salesman for the Broyhill Furniture Company having retired and was an Army Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Sally Davis of California, and Susan Doug Seipelt of Florida. Three step-daughters, Claudia Turner of California, Jerry Lynn Larry Trienen of Oregon, and Pam John Sitter of Missouri and one adopted daughter, Cookie Mackenzie of California, four grandchildren, Dawn Wallace, Nicole Roades, Greg Seipelt, and Sarah Seipelt; and five great grandchildren, Miranda Countryman, Andy Countryman, Jack Roades, Katy Jo Roades, and Chloe Seipelt.
William's wishes were to be cremated; a memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
