William Russell Malone

William Russell Malone, 89 years of Latham, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Highland County on November 17, 1923 the son of the late Nathan Mack and Ethel Black Malone. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, John L., Owney Malone and an Infant brother.
He was a retired Farmer and a US Army Veteran serving in WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Younker Malone whom he married on October 17, 1945; three sons and daughter in law, Larry and Rebecca Malone of Lucasville, Robert and Joyce Malone of Latham, Terry and Betty Malone of Chillicothe; two daughters and son in Law, Barbara Nace of Latham, Nancy and Roger Holden of Blanchester; one sister, Mary Miller of Hillsboro; one sister in law, Bernice Malone of Latham; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services with Military Rites by the Highland County Honor guard will be held at 12:00 noon Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Washburn Cemetery with Rev. John Huffman officiating.
The Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.
