William Alva Smith, 52 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, November 6, 2003 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
He was born in Pike County, Ohio on August 4, 1951 the son of William C. and Daisy K. Rose Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Smith, and one brother, Thomas A. Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Jackson Smith of Hillsboro, mother, Daisy Smith of Willettsville, son and daughter-in-law, Cary and Gina Smith of Russellville, daughters and sons-in-law, Billie and Timothy Brown of Hillsboro, Rebekah and Jamie Kessinger of Hillsboro, step son, James Stephanie Shepherd of Hillsboro, step daughter, Jessica Shepherd of Wilmington, brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Hazel Smith of Hillsboro, sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Jimmie L. Brown of Martinsville, Carolyn and William H. Rhoads of Hillsboro, and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2003 at 2:30 P.M. at the Smith Hill Cemetery near Rarden, Ohio, with Gary T. Huffman officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
