William Chester Ward

William Chester ?Fuzzy? Ward, 84 years of the Marshall Community, died Tuesday, October 02, 2007 at the Crestwood Nursing Center in Hillsboro.
He was born March 28, 1923 at North Union, the son of the late Tobias and Grace Seaman Ward. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Geneva Ward on July 30, 1995; one daughter, Joan Burton; son-in-law, Edward Main; two sisters, Evelyn Yarger and Louise Warnock; eight brothers; Irvin, Elmer, Eugene, Paul, Donald Lee, Charles, Branson and Robert Ward.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Geneva and Anthony Shaffer of Wilmington; three sons and daughter-in-law, William A. and John Ward both of Bainbridge, Gaylord and Joy Ward of Hillsboro; one brother, Leroy Ward of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 5, 2007 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
