Willie Moore

July 7, 1926 — February 14, 2003

Willie Moore, Jr., 76 years of Seaman, died Friday, February 14, 2003 at the U.C. Medical Center in Cincinnati.

He was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on July 7, 1926 the son of the late Willie and Octavia Howell Moore.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Brown Moore, who passed away in 1957, two sons, Robert & Greg Moore, and nine brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Helen Botkin Moore, sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Ann Moore of Seaman, Gary and Linda Moore of Georgetown, Steve Moore of West Union, Jack and Marie Moore of Seaman, John and Caroline Moore of Seaman, daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Ken Oliver of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kim Finneran of Kissimmee, Florida, Nancy Tolle of Seaman, sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Hazel Moore of New Straitsville, Ohio, sisters and brother-in-law, Sylvia Hicks of Kingsport, Tennessee, Mamie Brooks of Wellston, Ohio, Jewell and John Church of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Rev. Raymond Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Leigh Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
