Woodrow Wilson Lightner, 94 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday December 29, 2014 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
He was born in Flemingsburg, KY on February 21, 1920, the son of the late Otis F. and Alice (Deatley) Lightner. Besides his parents he was also preceded by his wife Helen Marie (Clark) Lightner on November 17, 2007,daughter Cathy Day, four brothers: Matt, Randolph, Delacy and Herman Lightner, four sisters: Elizabeth Puckett, Della Reno, Lavena Harmon and Judith Davis and three sons-in-law: Jeff Lytle, Faye Adams and John Pinkerton.
Woodrow is survived by his son Cecil Woodrow (Marsha Lynn) Lightner of Hillsboro, six daughters, Evelyn Pinkerton of West Union, Donna Jean Adams of Leesburg, Wanda Lou Lytle of Hillsboro, Debbie Sue (Jerry) Richmond of Hillsboro, Dell Marie (Oscar) Carey of Seaman and Darlene Michelle (Tony) Brown of Hillsboro, 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 3, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens with Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday January 2, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
