Woodrow M. Mercer, 89 years of Seaman, died Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky.
He was born in Seaman, Ohio on December 4, 1913 the son of the late Edward and Mary Elta Baker Mercer.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the DAV.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Hugh Mercer, and two sisters, Dorothy Mercer, and Delight Hawkins.
He is survived by one niece, Carol Ray Castelucci of Cleveland, two great nephews, Mark and Ken, and a close friend, Harry B. McCarty of West Union.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
