Zachary L.J Shaffer, 19 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday April 6, 2011 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 8, 1991 the son of Rodney and Jeska Trisdale Shaffer.
He was a 2010 graduate of Whiteoak High School, 2010 graduate of Southern Hills CTC and a volunteer with the Brush Creek Township Fire Department.
Beside his parents he is survived by his sister Desiree Shaffer of Hillsboro, nephew Zaylend Shaffer, paternal grandparents, Larry and Marge Potter of New Vienna, Sandra and Walter Barnett of Winter Haven, Florida, maternal grandparents, Jeff and Anita Trisdale of Hillsboro, paternal great grand mothers, Evelyn Shaffer of Marshall, Mabel Potter of Wilmington, maternal great grandmother Zelda Trisdale of Hillsboro, several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Services will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Carmel Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 AM till time of service at 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
