Zelta Mccoy

Zelta P. McCoy, 95 years of Xenia, formerly of Peebles passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Greene Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on May 1, 1913 the daughter of the late Robert Irwin and Verda Douglas McClure.
Zelta was a longtime member of the Peebles United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Peebles Chapter #396, the Shakespeare Club, the Worthy Matrons Club, and a graduate from Franklin High School in 1931.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty three years Stacy McCoy, who passed away on December 10, 1994, brother Floyd McClure, sister Evalee Michael, nephew Rolland McClure, and son-in-law Walter Stray.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Jerry Currey of Xenia, daughter Patricia Stray of California, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Steve Zinser officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Eastern Star Services at 12:30.
Memorials may be made in her memory to a favorite charity.
